Statement on My Campaign's Future
Thank you all for your support!
First, I would like to thank everyone who has supported my campaign and helped make it happen. It has been wonderful to meet so many passionate people in the Triangle community who are eager for progressive change in Washington, D.C.
That said, after a recent health issue and due to fundraising challenges, I have decided to withdraw from the 2026 primary for NC District 02. I will not be seeking another office at this time.
I am glad I stood up for a new vision of America’s future, one that actually makes progress and disavows polarization. I plan to continue to advocate for federal policy changes to protect America’s democracy, stop Donald Trump’s autocratic takeover, and empower new voters in the political process. Saving America’s democracy is key to addressing affordability issues such as the cost of living, healthcare, education, and transportation.
Running for office for the first time was a challenge; there were ups and downs, and things I could have done better. I aim to stay involved in NC politics and volunteer for other campaigns in the area to learn, grow, and build more face-to-face relationships with voters here in the Triangle.
I encourage you all to follow me on YouTube and Substack, because in January, I plan to post more content to advocate for and educate voters on the public policy solutions America needs.

I would also love to start conversations with federal policymakers to make my platform a reality.
Once again, thank you to everyone who helped or supported my campaign. Relationships are important to me, and I hope you all will stay in touch!
-Robert
